Standard Aero Awarded NAMSA Contract for T56 Engine Services

Winnipeg, Manitoba, June 15, 2006 – Standard Aero was awarded a competitively bid contract with the NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA) to provide Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services for the Rolls-Royce T56 engine family. The scope of the agreement includes the A-7, A-14, and A-15 models of the T56 engine and their supporting engine nacelle systems for the Lockheed Martin C-130 and P-3 aircraft, which provide vital in-theater support for the global war on terror and disaster relief efforts.

The contract establishes a buying agreement permitting all NATO member countries to source maintenance services from Standard Aero through a convenient Purchase Order format with competitive rates and cost certainty while greatly reducing and simplifying contract administration. Nations that elect to take advantage of the contract will be guaranteed the use of OEM-approved material while benefiting from the value Standard Aero is able to offer. The work will be performed at Standard Aero’s depot facilities in Winnipeg, Manitoba and San Antonio, Texas. Initial work under the contract is expected to begin within 30 days. The term of the agreement extends for three years plus two additional option years. The two additional option years are not guaranteed and will be awarded based on contract performance.

Regardless of the size of a fleet or flying tempo, NATO operators can now easily and quickly gain the benefits of our service, quality, and dependability that deliver best-value readiness.”
