Rolls-Royce Model 250 Engine Remains a Staple

April 6, 2008 – With yet another win at the 2007 Rolls-Royce AMC Awards banquet (2007 Customer Satisfaction Award), Vector-Helicopter Services North America (Vector-Helicopter Services), formerly ACROHELIPRO, is poised to expand its current capacity and capability on the Rolls-Royce Model 250 engine line.

“We are extremely pleased with our long-term success in servicing our customers on the Rolls-Royce Model 250 engine” (winner of the Rolls-Royce AMC Customer Satisfaction award each year since 2004), says Phil Kemp, vice president of sales for Vector-Helicopter Services. “Additionally, the growth in demand we are experiencing at our Richmond, Dallas and Van Nuys facilities have encouraged us to make an even greater commitment to our Rolls-Royce customers through the implementation of Lean manufacturing processes, and additional investments in parts inventories, rental assets, and experienced maintenance personnel.”

Kemp explains this is a continuing evolution that began with the opening of Rolls-Royce Model 250 engine satellite repair shops in Dallas and Van Nuys; a decision the company undertook to increase customer service to these high demand regions. He states the shops were opened to augment the full repair and overhaul operation of the Richmond facility by providing operators local resources that focus on superior quality, quick turn-times and paying close attention to customer needs and expectations.

Kemp remarks that the increase in global demand for Vector-Helicopter Services’ Rolls-Royce Model 250 engine repair and overhaul services throughout 2007 and into 2008 is a direct result of the success of its shops in working to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction, and he anticipates continued growth over the coming months and years.

Vector-Helicopter Services offers Rolls-Royce Model 250 engine repair and overhaul support to a global customer base consisting of private, commercial, government, defence and security organizations.
