AcroHelipro & Sagem Team Up on “Glass Cockpits”

February 25, 2008 – Since the exciting launch of the system at HAI 2007, AcroHelipro and Sagem have made the cutting-edge technology that offers distinct advantages including enhanced performance and reliability, superior quality and reduced operating costs available on a variety of platforms including:

Bell 205 series / Bell 206 series / Eagle 212 Single / Bell 407 / Sikorsky S61 / Eurocopter AS350 / Robinson R44 and the MD500.

For operators interested in learning how the system performs in a “real-world” setting, HAI 2008 is the place to be. Operators will be able to speak directly with fellow pilots and technicians, and view a variety of installations located in aircraft at the AcroHelipro (Vector Aerospace) booth, #2843, where a newly-minted, glass-cockpit outfitted LAPD Bell 206 will be located. Additionally, an interactive cockpit simulator/display featuring glass installations for the Sikorsky S61, Bell 205 and Bell 212 models will be available at AcroHelipro’s booth.

Adding to this impressive showing, Sagem will play host to an LAPD AS350 with dual glass installation, as well as a Bell 206, and highlight a variety of panel displays designed for Eurocopter, Bell, Robinson and MD aircraft.

Dan Johnson, VP of Commercial Affairs with Sagem emphasizes: “Sagem and AcroHelipro enjoy a strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction by bringing the customer the finest avionics and installation services available. The team’s synergistic efforts, combined with its dedication to integrity, responsibility and a customer-centric philosophy, strive to consistently meet or exceed the customer’s expectations.”

This dynamic expansion of the glass cockpit product line is a direct result of the combined resources of two industry-leaders; offering operators the advantage of Sagem’s world-class avionics solution and AcroHelipro’s expertise experience and derived from successfully developing Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and performing in excess of 460 installations, upgrades and legacy retro-fits of the system in a variety of helicopter platforms.

A variety of helicopters fitted with glass cockpit installations will be available for viewing in the static display section during HAI 2008.
