StandardAero Component Repair Services (CRS) Phoenix, previously known as PAS Technologies, has a successful 40-year history as a leading manufacturer and repair provider in the aerospace industry. Our Phoenix facility, located just a brief 20-minute drive west of Sky Harbor International Airport, offers a comprehensive portfolio of services for component processing in metal finishing, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), shot peen, grinding, special processing, and paint. As a One-Stop Shop, CRS Phoenix has earned a reputation for providing customers in the aerospace industry with rapid and unparalleled response.
StandardAero Phoenix’s history begins in 1965 as Universal Finishing (a two-person operation at the time), a subsidiary of San Diego plating, a chrome-only shop. In 1971, John Treffers purchased the assets of UF and continued to operate under that name. In 1972, Treffers changed its name to Treffers Plating, Inc. Grinding equipment, an Anodizeline, and a precision shafting line were added to serve the computer and printer industry. Treffers’ precision quickly became a premier leader in aerospace component metal finishing processing. In 1998, Mr. Treffers sold to Praxair, which later was purchased by PAS Technologies, now a division of StandardAero.
