Tempe, Ariz. – July 16, 2012 – Associated Air Center, StandardAero’s Large Transport Category, VIP Aircraft Completions Center in Dallas, Texas, last month, hosted its annual supplier symposium and golf tournament in Dallas.
The annual event convened over 100 of Associated Air Center’s (AACs) top suppliers used in the VIP completions of some of the world’s most influential figures’ aircrafts. This year’s event was conducted in tandem with the opening of AAC’s new VIP Design Center.
“Each year we invite our supplier-partners to spend the day at AAC, tour the facility and hear presentations from the AAC team on an array of topics ranging from updates to the company’s procurement policies, international compliance regulations, market trends, continuous improvement practices, etc.” said James Colleary, Vice President, Supply Chain, StandardAero. “By keeping our vendors well-apprised on what we’re doing, sharing with them issues that we’re involved in with our customers and ensuring their alignment with our internal systems, we help to enhance work turn times, keep control on costs and facilitate a quality outcome not only in design and craftsmanship, but in customer delight as well.”
“These annual symposiums really serve one ultimate objective: customer satisfaction – by enhancing our supplier relationships and promoting value and continuity in the production process,” Colleary concluded.
Kicking off this year’s supplier symposium, was the grand opening of AAC’s new VIP Design Center highlighting fabrics, carpeting, wood laminates, lighting, seating and cabin management entertainment systems, along with an array of other options, ranging from interior design configurations, as well as glassware, silverware and place-settings. Some of the key suppliers featured at this year’s symposium included, Aerospace Technologies Group, C&CT Ventures, Carl Booth, Custom Control Concepts, Emteq, Goldstar Aerospace Interiors, Jormac Aerospace, PAC Seating, Perrone Aerospace, Prima Donna, Rosanna Lee, Signature Plating, Steecon, Tai Ping, Townsend Leather and True North Avionics.
The two-day event concluded with a charity golf tournament held this year at the Dallas Cowboys Country Club. All proceeds from the tournament are donated by StandardAero to Dallas-Fort Worth charities. This year’s event raised over $10,000.
