StandardAero’s Augusta Facility Celebrates Legacy of Local Economic and Aviation Support with New 10 Year Lease, Facility Improvements

Tempe, Ariz. – August 16, 2011 – StandardAero Business Aviation announced today that it has signed a new 10-year lease on its Augusta, Ga. facility. The lease ensures StandardAero’s continued occupancy and includes an additional 10-year option. StandardAero, formerly known as Garrett Aviation Services, has been the facility’s tenant since 1974.

”Our lease renewal is great news for StandardAero and the community,” said Chris Bodine, Vice President & General Manager, StandardAero Augusta. “Today’s announcement ensures our operational presence for another 10 years, which means continued business for StandardAero and continued employment for the community. We’ve been a legacy provider of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) for the Southeastern U.S., as well as a dedicated economic partner in greater Augusta, for a long time; we look forward to continuing that relationship.”

Unrelated to the lease, but part of its ongoing efforts to improve each of its service centers, StandardAero Augusta is installing new hangar ventilation systems and is painting the buildings – all key components in its business strategy of improving the ‘customer experience’ for its business aviation customers.

For over 35 years, the Augusta operation has served the corporate aviation community. StandardAero Augusta employs over 100 A & P technicians, each averaging 15-plus years of employment. The Augusta facility performs virtually any maintenance event – scheduled or unscheduled – and serves as an authorized service center for Bombardier Challenger 600 series, Dassault Falcon (all models), Embraer Legacy 600/650 series, Honeywell TFE-731 (heavy), TPE 331 (overhaul) and HTF7000 (minor) engines as well as Honeywell 36-100/150 series APUs (overhaul). The facility also performs major maintenance and inspections on all of the Learjet, Hawker Astra and Westwind series of aircraft. In addition, the Augusta facility hosts a full range of avionics repair and installation capabilities.
