SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – October 20, 2026 – StandardAero (NYSE: SARO), a leading independent pure-play provider of aerospace engine aftermarket services, including engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and engine component repair, has completed the shift of its PT6A operations in Grapevine, TX to its primary campus at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), enabling added MRO benefits for PT6A operators.
StandardAero will continue providing operators the same high-quality PT6A heavy maintenance service from the DFW facility, while adding the benefits of greater capacity, on-site test cell support, and US duty-free import due to foreign trade zone (FTZ) status. This move will also enable full overhaul capability to launch in 2027.
“This operational shift is focused on creating added value for our customers,” Giovanni Spitale, President of StandardAero Business Aviation said. “While the transition of engine maintenance operations from site to site is not a simple task, the outcome of turn time optimization due to the expanded operational capability is worth it to deliver a better service for our customers.”
StandardAero has supported the PT6A engine program for more than 60 years, as the first independent Pratt & Whitney Canada-authorized maintenance facility was established in Dallas, TX under a previously acquired company, Dallas Airmotive.
“Returning customers of StandardAero’s Grapevine facility are already inducting their PT6A engines into the DFW facility, backed by the same quality, OEM-trained technicians, tenured technical support and engineering expertise,” said Joe Capra, StandardAero Vice President of Commercial Programs. “We understand that PT6A operators require quick, but high-quality support for their variety of engine maintenance needs to return their aircraft to service safely, and this move demonstrates our commitment to delivering top tier reliability and efficiency through our service network.”
With more than 21,000 active PT6A engines around the world onboard 14,000+ aircraft, StandardAero can support numerous PT6A engine series models across its network of facilities. StandardAero is a Pratt & Whitney Canada designated overhaul facility (DOF) for the PT6A engine in Dallas, TX, USA, Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada, Gonesse, France, Johannesburg, South Africa, and Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, with select support stemming from established regional turbine centers and on-site support from StandardAero’s Mobile Service Team (MST).
StandardAero is exhibiting at NBAA-BACE in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall at booth #1745 during exhibition hours on October 20-22, 2026. Please visit the booth for more information about StandardAero PT6A service and support.
