StandardAero Surpasses More Than 35 GE TRUEngine Qualified Aircraft Engine Overhauls

Tempe, Ariz. – April 9, 2014 – Since signing two license agreements to become an independent GE TRUEngine authorized MRO provider for both CF34 and CFM56 engines in June of last year, StandardAero has completed 36 qualified TRUEngine overhauls. Engines submitted for qualification by GE have included 22 CFM56 and 14 CF34 aircraft engines. All of the CFM56 engine overhauls were performed for North American mainline airline customers. The CF34 overhauls included regional airlines customers from around the world.

As an authorized TRUEngine MRO provider, engines overhauled by StandardAero are eligible for TRUEngine status, allowing the engine serial numbers to be included in the GE TRUEngine database and made available to industry appraisers and potential buyers to maximize engine performance and valuation for customers.

“Being selected by our airline customers to provide the very highest standards of service is a tremendous testimonial to our reputation for quality, service and value,” said Rob Cords, Senior Vice President, Airlines & Fleets, StandardAero. “It’s an even bigger testament when all the work is performed under our GE authorized TRUEngine designation.”

StandardAero was the very first independent TRUEngine authorized MRO provider for CF34 engines and the second for CFM56 engines.

“Standard Aero is a valuable partner in offering TRUEngine MRO services,” said Tom Levin, General Manager, Materials Services for GE Aviation. “This designation builds upon our long history working together and unique relationship that ranges from partnerships in engine development and testing to a complete array of aftermarket services.”
