StandardAero Signs CF34 Maintenance Agreement with West Atlantic Cargo Airlines

Tempe, Ariz. – April 30, 2014 – StandardAero has signed a maintenance agreement with West Atlantic Cargo Airlines to support the cargo carrier’s CF34 engines powering its fleet of CRJ-200 aircraft. The agreement provides an extension to the services partnership between West Atlantic and StandardAero, which currently serves as West Atlantic’s legacy MRO provider on its fleet of PW126 engines.

“Extending our long-term PW126 relationship to include CF34-3 engines just made sense,” said Robert Drews, Group Technical Director for West Atlantic. “Flexibility and operator focused service is important to us. Moreover, StandardAero’s investment in European-based field support showed their commitment to this region and product.”

“We have been a long-time service partner on West Atlantic’s PW126 engines and now we’ve been awarded MRO work on their CF34 engines,” said Rob Cords, President, Airlines & Fleets, StandardAero. “This decision not only adds to our support portfolio, but more importantly, it validates the quality of our service, thus enhancing our reputation throughout the European marketplace as a leading CF34 service provider – in both air transport and air cargo sectors.”

All West Atlantic maintenance work will be performed at StandardAero’s CF34 service facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada.
