StandardAero Selected as Engine Maintenance Provider for Russian Air Carrier, NordStar Airlines’ Fleet of ATR 42-500 Turboprops

Tempe, Ariz. – February 27, 2012 – StandardAero announced today that they have signed a long term agreement with NordStar Airlines’ parent company, Taimyr Airlines, to perform engine maintenance on NordStar’s fleet of new ATR 42-500 aircraft.

Under the terms of the agreement, StandardAero will be implementing a TEAMTM (Total Engine Asset Management) Program in the maintenance of NordStar’s new fleet of five ATR42’s. Managed by one of StandardAero’s dedicated program managers, the TEAM™ Program provides a full package of support services.

“We are very pleased with the enthusiasm that StandardAero has displayed in the initial phase of our agreement and look forward to our partnership,” said Kirill Buryy, General Director and Andrey Semenov, Technical Director, NordStar. “Their ability to offer favorable terms, coupled with value for the services provided was a key factor in our decision. A maintenance partner that can provide support services beyond its core business has real significance to an operator with a new aircraft type in a start-up phase“

“Today’s announcement reflects our commitment to the expanding Russian regional airlines market; specifically the successful ATR aircraft, as well as the growing market recognition of our business as a world-class, top tier provider of engine maintenance services,” said Jeffrey Wood, Senior Vice President, Airlines & Fleets, StandardAero. “Our TEAMTM Program offering is working exceptionally well and shows that Russian airlines value our service offerings and our flexibility in developing a customized program.”

StandardAero’s European Service Center located in Tilburg, The Netherlands, will provide in-region program management and field support with maintenance events carried out in both our European Service Center and Winnipeg, Canada.
