Las Vegas, Nev. – November 16, 2015 – StandardAero Business Aviation is experiencing an increasing and stronger demand from operators seeking to comply with various and upcoming Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) mandates. These increased demands are manifesting in the number of quotes and scheduled maintenance events in StandardAero’s four business aviation MRO facilities and through feedback from the company’s Customer Advisory Board, which is comprised of more than a dozen top business aviation operators.
Operators are beginning to evaluate options and to set budgets for compliance for multiple avionics mandates coming due in the next four years. Over the last five months of 2015, ADS-B system quotes have risen more than 80% for StandardAero, as the company has begun focusing on educating operators on the mandate and promoting affordable ADS-B programs. Among other mandates, such as TCAS, FANS-1A and CPDLC, customer inquiries have risen nearly 50%.
To help business aviation operators evaluate their needs and requirements for FAA mandates, StandardAero is hosting “Mandate Mania” at its 2015 NBAA exhibit (N4500) all week long as well as remotely for customers who are not attending the event. Mandate Mania will feature a short quiz on various mandate requirements. Eligible aircraft operators are encouraged to stop by and take the quiz, which will enter them into a “$5K Getaway” vacation sweepstakes. The sweepstakes winner can use the credit to arrange a trip to wherever they choose. (NOTE: No purchase or conference attendance necessary. Restrictions apply. See Official Rules for details.)
“2016 will be a key year for compliance and we know some operators are struggling with decisions about which mandates to pursue and when to pursue them,” said Marc McGowan, President of StandardAero Business Aviation. “We’re here to help them understand the requirements and provide as much information as possible, so they can make the best decisions to meet their compliance requirements.”
