StandardAero Opens New Satellite at Houston Hobby Airport

Tempe, Ariz. — August 7, 2014 – StandardAero Business Aviation launched a new satellite repair station at Houston Hobby (HOU) Airport in June of this year to supplement the company’s George Bush International (IAH) facility. The new base for StandardAero’s technicians is located at the southeast corner HOU Airport property with direct access to the airfield for servicing aircraft within the airport perimeter as well as surrounding airports including Ellington, Sugarland, West Houston Executive, Hooks and Conroe. The new satellite received its official Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Satellite Repair Station authorization on August 5, 2014.

StandardAero’s satellite is proud to service a wide range of corporate aircraft including Bombardier Learjet, Dassault Falcon Jet, Embraer Legacy, Cessna Citation, Hawker Beechcraft, Astra, Westwind and Gulfstream, among others. The HOU team is authorized to provide line service and R&R for multiple engine models including Honeywell TFE731, CFE738, HTF7000, TPE331, ATF3 6A 4C and CF34 engine lines as well as GTCP36-100/150 APUs.

The new satellite operates service vehicles complete with tooling needed to deliver repair services directly to operators. The office also includes a comfortable work area, with refreshments and free Wi-Fi.

More time intensive airframe inspections and engine shop overhauls, MPIs and CZIs will continue to be the focus for StandardAero’s IAH facility.

“StandardAero already services many of the operators at Hobby International Airport,” said Melissa Maddox, Vice President & General Manager for StandardAero’s Houston facilities. “Business aircraft based on the airfield are rapidly increasing and our new satellite brings us closer to those operators to grow our airframe and engine services while offering convenience to our customers.”

StandardAero holds OEM authorizations from Dassault, Learjet, Embraer and has a long history supporting Cessna, Gulfstream and Hawker aircraft. Engine OEM authorizations include multiple Honeywell engine models.
