StandardAero FASTLANETM TFE731 MPI/CZI the New Standard – New FASTLANE Video Posted on YouTube

Orlando, Fla. – October 20, 2014 – StandardAero Business Aviation has instituted its legendary FASTLANETM guarantee for TFE731 Major Periodic Inspection/Compressor Zone Inspection (MPI/CZI) turnaround time for all customers, including European operators. All North American and European operators are now eligible for this new program after qualifying with StandardAero’s eligibility requirements.

Over the last decade, StandardAero has reduced turnaround time for TFE731 CZIs from the industry standard of 30 days to 14 days and MPIs from the industry standard of 12 days to 5 days – exceeding customers’ expectations, without compromising quality. FASTLANE has consistently produced more than a 50% reduction in TFE731 turn times.

FASTLANE encompasses a strategic approach to engine MRO that correlates maintenance turnaround times with comprehensive fleet operating costs. For example, the speed of FASTLANE enables a CZI to be combined with an airframe inspection, to avoid costs such as extra engine removal and reinstallation. This approach reduces operator and aircraft downtime costs providing tangible value to customers.

Recently, the FASTLANE program has been expanded to include European operators. The program features a 14 day guaranteed turn time for TFE731 MPIs – including a test cell run and door-to-door shipping.

“For almost 40 years, StandardAero has performed more TFE731 heavy maintenance than any other company in the world,” said Marc McGowan, President of StandardAero Business Aviation. “This unique experience results in best practices that maximize performance and optimize engine reliability.”

To facilitate the speed of this program, StandardAero maintenance facilities are staffed to work three shifts, 24 hours a day to meet the demands of its customers. The FASTLANE system assesses critical hardware exchange processes and incorporates efficient parts procurement to ensure all the components, including critical long-lead items, are on-hand for rapid turnaround.

“StandardAero is not just fast – the product quality of FASTLANE meets or exceeds that of industry-standard turnaround time services,” explained McGowan.

In addition, StandardAero tests every engine in its state-of-the-art test facility and closely monitors outgoing performance margins for customers. StandardAero is launching a new FASTLANE video to demonstrate this innovative program at NBAA 2014. To view the new video, click here.
