Tempe, Ariz. – June 29, 2011 – StandardAero Business Aviation announced today that it has expanded its service offerings at its support center in Omaha, Neb. to include line level support for the Honeywell, TFE731 engine. This new service addition, combined with StandardAero’s Mobile Service Team (MST) support network, gives Omaha-based operators a local alternative for nose-to-tail services, now including engine support, in the region.
”Today’s announcement underscores our commitment to the customer,” said Eric Thompson, Product Director, Engines, for StandardAero’s Business Aviation sector. “Omaha operators asked for line service capabilities on the TFE731 and we delivered. This is a key element in our engine strategy and more importantly, to fulfill our business vision of providing the industry’s most comprehensive nose-to-tail aircraft services, as close to the customer as possible.”
“This new TFE731 support capability in Omaha is an extension of the decision we made last year to reopen the TFE731 MPI shop at StandardAero’s Springfield, Ill. facility (SPI),” said Mike Menard, Vice President & General Manager, StandardAero Springfield. “Now within a short distance, operators have a regional choice in getting engine, avionics, interior modifications and paint, MRO services all-in-one. We’ve come to our customers to allow our customers to come to us. We are also pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Osborn as the OMA site lead. Dan’s past experience in the BizAv market and customer-oriented focus will enable him to give our Omaha customers the service they need to keep flying.”
StandardAero has long maintained support operations in Omaha but not local TFE731 line level support. The new Honeywell authorization provides a critical support element for operators in the immediate area. StandardAero Omaha is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved repair station pursuant to 14 C.F.R. Part 145. The Repair Station operates under a Class 4 rating.
