StandardAero Displays Commitment to Asian Helicopter Market with Strong Investment in its Singapore M250 Service Center

Las Vegas, Nev. – March 6, 2013 – Since announcing the grand opening of its new, larger helicopter service center in Singapore facility last August, StandardAero has continued to make substantial investment in its operations dedicated to supporting the Rolls-Royce M250 engine program, strengthening its commitment to the Asian Helicopter Market.

In six months, since its opening, StandardAero has invested over $3M in the facility with nearly $1.5M in equipment/tooling upgrades and over $1M in building improvements designed to enhance the look as well as workflow ergonomics, keeping service throughput times to a minimum. The company also made a significant people investment, spending over $100,000 in training and development in 2012. Equipment upgrades include test cells, cleaning lines, FPI/MPI, bearing inspection, accessories test stands, waste storage facility, gas farm, blasting equipment, individual workstations an computer equipment.

As a result of StandardAero’s investment in its Singapore facility, the company has been nominated for Rolls-Royce’s 2013 FIRST Network M250 Program Investment Award, acknowledging facilities with the most investment to improve their unique contribution to the M250 program, and provide improved customer service.

StandardAero’s Singapore operation is located at Seletar Air Park in Singapore. The facility is strategically located near the Rolls-Royce facility and also the local Bell Helicopter facility.
