StandardAero Business Aviation Announces STC Certification Services and Certification Training for European Business Aviation Market

Geneva, Switzerland – May 14, 2012 – StandardAero Business Aviation announced today that as part of its expanding global footprint, it now offers EASA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) certification services and certification training to complement its growing list of business aviation, mission critical support services.

StandardAero provides applicants seeking STC approval the ability to obtain both FAA and EASA certification approval concurrently within a 30-60 day time frame, compared to the usual 90-plus day approval cycle for each individual agency certification. This expedited approval process saves operators substantial costs by reducing the aircraft’s downtime. In addition, through its European partnerships, StandardAero Business Aviation also provides training on the certification process.

“StandardAero is rapidly moving beyond traditional MRO,” said Scott Taylor, Senior Vice President, Business Aviation, StandardAero. “Our CompleteCare™ concept offers operators a full complement of aviation support services ranging from tradition MRO support, such as engine, avionics, airframe modifications and interiors, to flight planning, pre-purchase evaluations, certifications services and training. Our ability to fast track the STC process and shave off weeks, even months, keeps the aircraft in service more and grounded less, resulting in tremendous cost savings for operators.”

With over 50 years of experience and over 1,000 STCs, StandardAero offers a diverse array of STCs – from installation of landing lights to new engine retrofit STC authorized on 14 aircraft manufacturers and over 350 models. StandardAero also has completed numerous STCs involving the ProLine 21 and Primus Elite avionics systems upgrades in addition to its most recent announcement of the Dassault EASy II Avionics flight deck upgrades on the Dassault Falcon 900EX/DX/LX series aircraft.
