StandardAero Becomes First Authorized Dassault Service Center to Complete EASy II Upgrade on Falcon 2000LX

Tempe, Ariz. – July, 18 2013 – StandardAero announced that it is the first Authorized Dassault Service Center to complete the EASy II flight deck upgrade on a Dassault Falcon 2000LX aircraft. A second EASy II upgrade also was recently completed on a Falcon 2000LX. Both upgrades were completed at StandardAero’s Springfield, Ill (SPI) facility.

Today’s announcement comes on the heels of Dassault’s announcement that its EASy II avionics system has received FAA and EASA approvals on the Falcon 7X and F2000EX EASy/LX/DX, making it available for all EASy-series Falcons.

“Being the first Dassault Authorized Service Center to complete the EASy II upgrade on a Falcon 2000, combined with our previous EASy II upgrade completions on F900 EASy aircraft at three of our facilities, demonstrates our market leadership in Falcon aircraft expertise,” said Scott Taylor, Senior Vice President, Business Aviation, StandardAero. “StandardAero has numerous F7X, F2000EX EASy/LX/DX, and F900EX EASy/LX/DX, aircraft scheduled for the EASy II upgrade which speaks to the value of the features included in the product and our customers’ confidence in StandardAero’s capabilities and customer service commitments.”

The EASy II program provides a path for existing Falcon aircraft to upgrade to the current, forward fit production standards. The EASy II baseline and optional features include a robust set of advanced features from mandate regulatory compliance to safety and operational enhancements. The upcoming optional Service Bulletins for CPDLC (ATN-B1 and FANS 1/A) compliance packages will provide Falcon operators the ability to take advantage of new air traffic control (ATC) data link capabilities, allowing for text-based communication protocols between pilot and ATC, reducing the risk of verbal miscommunications. Optional Service Bulletin packages including Synthetic Vision System (SVS), SBAS/WAAS/LPV approaches, Automatic Decent Mode (ADM), ADS-B Out, Dual Jeppesen Charts and integrated graphical XM Weather are available.

EASy II was first certified for the Falcon 900EX EASy/DX/LX in July, 2011 and for the Falcon F7X & F2000EX EASy/LX/DX series this last month. The latest version includes features designed to increase safety and situational awareness while capitalizing on next generation technologies used within the air traffic management system.
