StandardAero Announces Pratt & Whitney PW300 Line Service Capability at Springfield Facility

Tempe, Ariz. – April 11, 2011– StandardAero Business Aviation announced today that it has added line services on the Pratt & Whitney Canada, PW300-series of engines to its list of maintenance capabilities. The Springfield Ill. service center is the first StandardAero Business Aviation facility to provide line maintenance on the PW307 and PW308 engines. Airframe platforms powered by these engines include the Falcon 2000 DX/EX/LX, Falcon 7X and the Hawker 4000.

In addition to line maintenance services, StandardAero can now install the Data Transmission Units (DTUs) for the PW307 and PW308 engines, allowing for automatic trend data downloads and transmissions in support of Pratt & Whitney Canada’s Eagle Service Plan (ESP).

“The Pratt & Whitney Canada PW300 series of engines are an important segment of the business aviation market and power some of the most prestigious business jets in operation today. By expanding our engine services into this segment we can now provide more operators the full benefits from our CompleteCareTM scope of services,” said Scott Taylor, Senior Vice President, Business Aviation, StandardAero. “By adding line services for the PW300 series engine to our existing OEM-authorized, airframe and avionics capabilities, we can reduce aircraft down time which helps our customers and fulfills our objective of being a comprehensive, nose-to-tail, MRO service provider.”

StandardAero announced its plans to enter the PW300 service market at last year’s annual National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Convention and Expo in Atlanta, Ga. StandardAero’s facilities in Houston, Texas (IAH), Augusta, Ga. (AGS) and Los Angeles (LAX) are scheduled to be offering similar services later this year.
