Standard Aero Awarded Transport Canada Approval for PW100 Hot Section Inspections

Winnipeg, MB April 20, 2005 – Standard Aero received Transport Canada approval on April 8th, 2005 to perform Pratt & Whitney PW100 Hot Section Inspections at its Winnipeg facility. The North American PW100 Service Center was previously located at Standard Aero’s Maryville, Tennessee facility. Moving the PW100 Service Center to Winnipeg will make room in Maryville to accommodate anticipated APU volume growth. The Winnipeg PW100 Service Center is a branch of Standard Aero’s Pratt & Whitney Canada (PW&C) PW100 Designated Overhaul Facility which is located in Tilburg, The Netherlands. The Tilburg facility continues to provide full MRO services.

“We have co-located our PW100 capability along side our Winnipeg-based PT6A P&WC Distributor and Designated Overhaul Facility to capitalize on an already strong relationship with Pratt & Whitney Canada,” commented Kees Hage, Vice President and General Manager, PW100. “Combining both PW&C product lines in Winnipeg strengthens the strategic alignment with P&WC, optimizing both our manufacturing systems and logistics networks allowing the PW100 Business Unit to provide unprecedented customer service to our operators.”
