Rob Cords Appointed Senior Vice President of StandardAero Airlines & Fleet

Tempe, Ariz. – November 13, 2012 – StandardAero announced today it has appointed Rob Cords as Senior Vice President of its Airlines & Fleets business. Airlines & Fleets is the largest of StandardAero’s six business sectors. The other sectors include: Associated Air Center, Business Aviation, Components, Government & Military and Helicopters & Energy.

“Rob brings a very deep commercial background and established relationships with many key mainline and regional airline customers, OEMs, MROs, industry leaders, suppliers and internal stakeholders to his new role,” said Rob Mionis, President & CEO, StandardAero. “His intellect, creativity, ability to drive results, discipline and overall experience will be instantly applied toward successfully leading this important business.”

Cords replaces Jeffrey Wood who has left the company to pursue other interests.

Cords previously served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Customer Development for the company since joining StandardAero in 2009. In his former role, Cords strongly influenced the overall strategic direction of the company during a time of rapid growth and diversification for StandardAero.

Prior to joining StandardAero, Cords was Associate Partner for Oliver Wyman’s Aerospace and Defense Practice. In this role, he worked with some of the world’s largest airlines and maintenance companies to help them solve complex problems ranging from bankruptcies and cost reductions to mergers and acquisitions. Cords brings twenty years of business, financial services, aviation and consulting experience to the team. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Indiana University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
