nterior renovation completed at Landmark Aviation’s Washington, D.C., area FBO

Tempe, Arizona, — Landmark Aviation today announced the completion of a $300,000 interior renovation at its Dulles, Va., fixed base operation. The new interior celebrates the region’s hunt country legacy with a stylish décor. The facility offers complete FBO services, including concierge, business center, wireless Internet, and flat screen TVs with satellite HDTV programming.

The 8,000 square foot renovation included the lobby, restrooms, weather room, conference rooms, snack rooms and pilots’ lounge. Included were new furnishings in warm burgundies, greens and tans, slate wall and floor accents, and a large hearth fireplace.

“We redesigned the ‘living spaces’ in our operation to provide maximum comfort and functionality,” said Jim McNeill, General Manager. “Pilots now have a clear view of the ramp and can see their aircraft and the main entry door. Other improvements include more seating in the main lounge areas and plush furnishings, and the interior now is quieter, which is conducive to relaxation or working.”

The pilots’ lounge is now at the rear of the facility and the weather room is at the front of the facility.

The FBO covers 30 acres and offers 54,000 square feet of hangar space and 27,000 square feet of shop and office space. The facility also has three corporate hangars, and is located at Dulles International Airport, an approximate 30 minute drive via an express throughway to downtown Washington, D.C.

Landmark Aviation’s Dulles operation is one of the company’s flagship FBO locations, serving heads of state, corporate and industry executives, and leading entertainment figures. After 2001, with restrictions placed on business aviation aircraft at Reagan National Airport in Alexandria, Va., Dulles has become the key business aviation airport serving the Washington, D.C., region.

Other Landmark Aviation flagship locations include Westchester, N.Y., Scottsdale, Ariz., and Los Angeles International Airpot (LAX), where a $2.6 million interior renovation was recently completed.

Interiors by Renee, a Canadian-based interior design firm, created the new interior at Dulles and also designed Landmark’s recently completed Toronto FBO interior. Rowe Furniture provided the Dulles facility furnishings.
