Landmark Aviation’s Associated Air Center receives FAA Designated Alteration Station (DAS) certification

Tempe, Arizona, — Associated Air Center, a Landmark Aviation company located at Dallas Love Field, announced today that it has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Designated Alteration Station (DAS) certification, authorizing the aircraft completion center to act on behalf of the FAA to issue Supplemental Type Certificates and Experimental Airworthiness Certificates, and to amend Standard Airworthiness Certificates.

“Associated Air Center has demonstrated to the FAA the highest level of quality and integrity in our entire aircraft modification process, from the initial engineering design to the finished aircraft,” said Associated Air Center President Jeff Bosque. “This certification covers all of our work, including designing and installing safety and flight management systems, room décors, furnishings, entertainment systems, and passenger seating, and allows us to further streamline our build and delivery cycle.

“Ultimately this certification benefits our customers by reducing aircraft down-time,” Bosque said.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the certification establishes the basis and requirements for Delegation of Authority to Associated Air Center to act on behalf of the FAA. It designates Associated Air Center as a DAS.

Landmark Aviation’s Springfield, Ill., aircraft repair and completion center, which provides modifications for business jets ranging in size from the Raytheon Hawker and Beechjet aircraft to the Bombardier Global Express, also holds DAS certification.

Associated Air Center offers a full range of design and luxurious completion options for transport class aircraft, with experienced staff that works with customers from original concept through the design of the floor plan to selection of fabric, furniture and fixture fabrication, and the integration of cabin and cockpit systems.
