Landmark Aviation Receives STC to Install Rockwell Collins Tailwind 550 Multi-Region Satellite TV on Airbus Corporate Jet

NBAA, Atlanta — Associated Air Center located at Dallas Love Field today announced that it has received Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval for the installation of the Rockwell Collins Tailwind 550 Satellite TV system on the Airbus Corporate Jet.

The system receives satellite TV over the continental United States, Europe and the Middle East.

“Associated Air Center now offers a new capability for installation on the Airbus Corporate Jet,” said Jeff Bosque, President. “This system offers the availability of a full range of TV programming in the cabin whether in flight or on the ground.”

The system has an antenna that is fuselage mounted and rotates 360 degrees while pivoting -10 to +90 degrees for greater up and down angle. A dynamic reaction rate enables it to quickly stay on target.

The Tailwind 550 can be configured for multiple zones throughout the cabin. The system provides reliable in the air and on the ground performance.

Associated Air Center is a Class IV FAA certified repair station and can perform major overhauls, structural modifications, avionics upgrades and heavy maintenance.
