Tempe, Arizona, — Landmark Aviation today named Ken Farsi as Director, Aircraft Certification, at Associated Air Center, a Landmark Aviation company at Dallas Love Field (DAL).
“Ken brings broad industry expertise to our aircraft certification program as he assumes the position of Director at Associated Air Center,” said Brian Reid, Vice President, Engineering, Certification & Design. “His skills and knowledge will help us continue to build and strengthen our world-class aircraft completion center.”
Farsi will lead the Certification Department and Designated Alteration Station (DAS), implementing the Design for Compliance program. He will also develop training curriculum for qualified staff members to pursue FAA certification.
He has more than 22 years of industry experience, including his most recent work at L-3 Communications as DAS administrator. He has held the positions of Weights Engineer, Flight Operations Engineer, Aircraft Certification Engineer and Deputy DAS Administrator for companies including Lockheed, United Airlines, Galaxy Aerospace and Gulfstream Aerospace.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technology from Northrop University and two Masters of Aeronautical Science degrees in Aviation and Aerospace Operations, and Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Farsi is an FAA Designated Engineering Representative, with; Interior Arrangement, Compliance Inspection and Weight and Balance approval authority for Parts 23 and 25.
He holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses and is a licensed private pilot. He is certified by United Airlines, Boeing, Airbus and the U.S. Air Force as a Load Planner/Load Master. He is also a life member of Tau Alpha Pi, the National Honor Society for Engineering Technology, and belongs to American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
