Tempe, Arizona, — Landmark Aviation today named David Greer as Director of Quality and Organizational Excellence at Associated Air Center, a Landmark Aviation company at Dallas Love Field (DAL).
“David brings deep expertise in all production facets to our organization, including quality and safety,” said Jeff Bosque, President. “He is a fantastic contributor to the AAC team and will help our business ensure the highest production standards, which will directly benefit our customers around the globe.”
Greer, a Six Sigma Black Belt, will be responsible for all quality and safety certifications, including ISO9000.
He has worked at Associated Air Center for the past year as a Process Leader. Previously he was Director of Operations at Hampson Texstars Inc., where he was responsible for all manufacturing activities for the plastics and composites manufacturer. He guided all engineering, logistics, scheduling, production and quality assurance activities. He implemented Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, and guided the company’s ISO9000-2000 and AS9100 systems to successful certification.
Prior to that, Greer was Director of Operations at GTM Plastics, where he managed Quality and manufacturing. His efforts included bringing process and manufacturing systems to Malcolm Baldrige National quality standard and certification.
Earlier Greer worked at Cascade DieCasting as Operations Quality Manager, responsible for Quality assurance, Production and machining for the plastics manufacturer. In earlier positions with Thesis Automation Inc. and Texas Instruments Defense Systems, he managed quality assurance.
Greer holds a bachelor of science in industrial engineering technology from Texas A&M and a master of science in industrial technology management from Texas A&M. He is an ASQ certified manager of quality and organizational excellence, a certified quality engineer and certified quality auditor. He is certified in Lean training and is a former ISO9000 Quality Systems Lead Auditor. Greer is a member and international director for the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
