Landmark Aviation named authorized service facility for Bombardier Learjet and Challenger Business Jets

Tempe, Arizona, — Landmark Aviation today confirmed that its Los Angeles International Airport facility has been appointed as a Bombardier Authorized Service Facility (ASF) to provide maintenance on Bombardier Learjet and Challenger aircraft. Bombardier made the announcement in a press release earlier today.

“Landmark Aviation is the only Authorized Service Facility in the United States for maintenance and service on aircraft from the three Bombardier business jet families,” said Shawn Vick, President, Landmark Aviation. “We are pleased to provide Learjet and Challenger aircraft operators with the same superior quality maintenance and rapid turnaround times that Global jet operators have had.”

The agreement expands Landmark’s existing authorization for service on Bombardier Global* business aircraft and covers Learjet and Challenger 600* Series aircraft in production, under warranty, and the Bombardier SmartParts extended warranty program.

David Orcutt, Vice President, Customer Support, Bombardier Business Aircraft, said, “Landmark Aviation and its predecessors have provided superior quality maintenance for more than six years on Global business jets. Bombardier Challenger and Learjet operators can now benefit from the same convenient West Coast service center for all of their service requirements.”

Landmark’s Los Angeles operation provides 24-hour aircraft maintenance and FBO services. The facility, which has been in operation now for over 50 years, has more than 120,000 square feet of hangar space, and over 200 technicians, engineers and craftsman.

A $2 million renovation of the facility, including a new customer lounge and new expanded ramp, will be completed in April 2006.

The Los Angeles service center also serves as a base for a Landmark Mobile Service Team (MST), which provides on-site maintenance and repairs for aircraft engines and airframes. Landmark’s fully tooled MST can quickly travel to aircraft needing repairs anywhere in the world.

Landmark Aviation will begin providing service on Bombardier Learjet and Challenger 600 Series aircraft this month.

Other Landmark Aviation service centers authorized for Bombardier aircraft maintenance and services are located at George Bush intercontinental Airport in Houston, TX (IAH) and Bush Field Airport in Augusta, Georgia (AGS).
