Landmark Aviation appointed support center by Standard Aero to provide maintenance on CF34 aircraft engine

NBAA, Orlando, — Landmark Aviation today announced that it has been selected by Standard Aero to provide line maintenance for CF34 aircraft engines on Bombardier Challenger 601/604 aircraft at its Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) maintenance and repair facility. The agreement covers removal and replacement of aircraft engines.

“Landmark Aviation is pleased to add additional service capability for aircraft operators at Los Angeles by providing CF34 line maintenance for the Bombardier Challenger family,” said Roger Wolfe, Landmark Aviation Chief Executive Officer. “This expands our existing agreement with Standard Aero — a sister organization in the Carlyle Group portfolio of aviation companies.”

Landmark Aviation previously provided line maintenance and engine removal and replacement for the CF34 engine at its Augusta, Ga., facility. “The new agreement conveniently offers aircraft operators a new West Coast service center,” Wolfe said.

Paul Soubry, President, Standard Aero MRO, said, “We are very pleased to have Landmark LAX as a new addition to our CF34 Support Center network. The LAX facility gives our customers additional regional support that we have been missing in the U.S. and fulfills our desire to capitalize on the collective advantages of the two sister organizations.”

Landmark also provides airframe maintenance and repairs on Bombardier Challenger aircraft at both the Los Angeles and Augusta MRO facilities.

In early 2006 Bombardier appointed Landmark’s Los Angeles facility as an Authorized Service Facility for service and maintenance on Bombardier Learjet and Challenger 600 series aircraft, making it the first Bombardier Authorized Service Facility in the U.S. authorized to service all three Bombardier business aircraft families.

Landmark has been providing quality maintenance for the Global family of aircraft in Los Angeles since 2000.

Landmark’s MRO service center at Los Angeles provides business aviation operators full maintenance services, including aircraft on ground (AOG) assistance.

The operation is a Class 4 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified repair station and a factory authorized service center for Bombardier, Raytheon and Dassault Falcon aircraft. Landmark LAX provides turbine engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) factory authorized repair and major overhaul to support all business aviation aircraft. Additionally, LAX provides 24/7 line station support to fractional business jet operators.
