Landmark Aviation announces new Vice President and General Manager for Los Angeles International airport operation

Tempe, Arizona, — Landmark Aviation today announced a new Vice President and General Manager for its Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) operation. David Lamb, a 20-year industry veteran, brings senior leadership, quality management and Six Sigma expertise to Landmark’s LAX maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and fixed base operation (FBO). Lamb’s predecessor, Harvey Ticlo, recently was promoted by Landmark to Senior Vice President, MRO Operations.

“In this key role David will be responsible for continuing to strengthen the operation, driving operational improvements through all aspects of the business,” said Ticlo. “David intends to work closely with customers and will lead Los Angeles, one of our flagship operations, toward growth and a dynamic future.”

In recent months, the LAX facility has undergone a complete refurbishment and expansion and “will soon be poised to provide Landmark customers with a luxurious flight center and world-class MRO services,” Ticlo said. The refurbishment will be completed in early April.

Lamb leaves Gulfstream Aerospace in Dallas, where he was Director of Product Support. Prior to that, he was Director of Engineering Quality at Gulfstream, serving as Chief Inspector for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certified Repair Station. He also managed completions and service engineering. He previously worked at Pilkington Aerospace, a global supplier of aircraft transparencies in leadership roles. Earlier in his career, he worked for McDonnell Douglas.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from West Coast University and an MBA from the University of Dallas. He also holds Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification. He is a former U.S. Marine.
