Landmark Aviation and Snemca sign agreement for maintenance of new aircraft engine

NBAA, Orlando, — Landmark Aviation announced today that it has signed a maintenance service agreement with Snecma, producer of engines for civil and military aircraft, launch vehicles and satellites, for service on the new Silvercrest aircraft engine currently under development.

The agreement covers line maintenance, on-site customer support, customer training, bank engine management and spare parts distribution.

“Landmark Aviation’s network of service and aircraft centers in the United States offer outstanding maintenance and repair services,” said Shawn Vick, Landmark President. “We look forward the Silvercraft entry into service and working closely with Snecma to provide outstanding customer support for this new propulsion system.”

Work will be performed at Landmark Aviation’s maintenance, repair and overhaul operations at Los Angeles, Houston and Augusta, Ga.

The Silvercrest engine designed by Snecma, of the Safran Group, is designed to increase reliability while reducing parts count.
