NBAA, Orlando, Associated Air Center, a Landmark Aviation Company, today announced the completion and delivery of an Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ) aircraft – its first delivery in the Airbus “Prestige” program.
“As an authorized Airbus Completion Center, we worked closely with Airbus and the aircraft owner to design and build an interior that is functional and elaborate,” said Jeff Bosque, President, Associated Air Center. “From receipt of the order from Airbus to final delivery, the overall time was ten months, which is outstanding for a sophisticated, high-tech interior.”
In the future the duration from “green” aircraft arrival to final delivery will be six months, with the goal of reducing this even further, he added.
This aircraft is the fourth Airbus ACJ that has been completed by Associated Air Center since 2004. Associated Air Center will have two more Airbus ACJ aircraft in completion this year, and has received orders for several others in 2006.
Associated Air Center provides customer completion services for corporate and private aircraft, offering unique design and manufacturing capabilities for transport size airplanes.
The interior is equipped with 16 VIP seats and divans for 16 passengers. Other features include a state-of-the-art digital entertainment and cabin management system, equipped with multiple audio and video sources, moving map, external cameras, LCD screens and multi-region satellite TV, wireless Internet and a satellite communication voice and fax service.
Additional interior features include an aft cabin master bedroom, king-sized bed, master lavatory equipped with stand-up shower, full office, cooking galley, crew rest area, living room with divans, coffee tables and dinning area with six VIP chairs and a dining/conference table.
The Airbus ACJ line offers a wide variety of interiors. Configurations range from head-of-state layouts with office and meeting areas to exquisite palaces in the sky. The Airbus ACJ offers fly-by-wire controls, which are part of all passenger jetliners that Airbus produces today. The aircraft also offers extra fuel tanks for intercontinental flying range, Category 3B autoland, and a higher cruise altitude of 41,000 feet, with extra cabin pressurization level.
Landmark Aviation is also approved by Airbus as a full-service provider for maintenance, repair and overhaul services for Airbus ACJ aircraft. It performed its first Airbus ACJ 5Y C-check this year.
