Geneva, Switzerland – May 17, 2011 – StandardAero announced today that Associated Air Center (AAC), its Large Transport Category, VIP Aircraft Completions Center re-delivered a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) aircraft. This new aircraft re-delivery represents AAC’s twenty-first BBJ aircraft cabin completion since 1998, when becoming a BBJ Approved Completion and Service Center. AAC’s Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) issued the FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for this latest aircraft completion.
The VIP-level, BBJ interior was designed by AAC’s in-house design team, working closely with the aircraft owner. The interior appointments reflect a functional, user-friendly style and are crafted with elegant decorative materials. The cabin’s interior completion weight was 15,345 lbs.
“Our operational excellence initiatives underway within the company are really paying dividends,” said Jack Lawless, Chief Operating Officer, StandardAero and President, Associated Air Center. “Today’s announcement not only marks a delivery milestone for the company, reflecting a rapidly increasing turnaround time process, but does so with excellent customer collaboration and at a considerably light weight – increasing fuel economy and extending mission range. Our processes are creating substantial ‘win-wins’ for us and our customers.”
The installation included a host of state-of-the-art systems including: In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) and Cabin Management System (CMS); Multichannel Aero H + Satcom system; a comprehensive cabin thermal and sound insulation package system to provide a quiet cabin environment and localized room humidifiers. The last two items are designed to improve the cabin environment and reduce passenger and crew fatigue associated with ultra-long range missions typically achieved with the BBJ aircrafts.
This new aircraft, equipped with a cabin interior completion outfitted by AAC, is the first BBJ, to be based in the Philippines.
