Winnipeg, Canada — Associated Air Center (AAC), a leading transport aircraft completion center at Dallas Love Field (DAL), today announced the delivery of an Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) VIP interior – its 10th luxury jet delivery in the ACJ program and the first U.S.-based ACJ “N” registered VIP aircraft. The aircraft was delivered to a customer based in Florida.
“Associated Air Center developed this luxury aircraft from design to completion,” said Patrick Altuna, Executive Vice President. “The VIP interior is a contemporary design, with a color scheme of blues, browns, creams and other rich shades that are similar to the customer’s personal DC-9 aircraft.” The aircraft features exotic, hand polished wood veneers, plush seating and carpeting throughout.
“Associated Air Center is very pleased to be the first completion center in the U.S. to produce the first VIP interior ACJ based in the U.S,” Altuna added.
Also featured are a spacious master bedroom and master lavatory with shower and storage closets. Sofas in the aircraft provide seating as well as sleeping positions. “Hi-lo” tables have three fold-out leaves. The tables are located in the mid section of the aircraft in the dining room and lounge area.
The aircraft has a full cabin management system produced by Honeywell, reflecting the aircraft’s functionality as an office-in-the-sky. Cabin systems include entertainment and Airshow, a moving map system that provides real-time flight information video channel broadcast through the cabin video monitors.
In addition to displaying a map that illustrates the current position and direction of the plane, the system also reveals details concerning the flight including altitude, airspeed, distance to destination, distance from origination and local time.
Moving map information is derived from the aircraft’s flight computer systems.
In addition, the cabin system provides full ground communications, which enable passengers to make voice calls from aircraft to a landline or cell phone on the ground using a corded or cordless handset located in the cabin.
AAC became an Airbus ACJ Authorized Completions Center in 2003. The operation is an approved ACJ Service Center and in 2005 successfully completed the first five-year C-check for a head-of-state ACJ.
AAC offers a full range of design and luxurious completion options for transport class aircraft.
AAC professionals work with customers from original concept through the design of the floor plan to selection of fabric, furniture and fixture fabrication, and the integration of cabin and cockpit systems including audio/visual equipment, business computers, facsimile machines, voice scramblers and security components.
