Associated Air Center Announces Chip Fichtner as Vice President, Engineering

Tempe, Ariz. – October 5, 2011 – Associated Air Center (AAC), StandardAero’s Large Transport Category, VIP Aircraft Completions Center in Dallas, Texas, announced today that Chip Fichtner has been selected as AAC’s Vice President, Engineering. Fichtner comes to Associated Air Center from Gore Design Completions in San Antonio, Texas.

Prior to joining StandardAero, Fichtner served as Director of Production, Engineering and Program Management for Gore Design Completions where he led the engineering, operations, and program management effort on multiple narrow and wide body VVIP completions. Prior to Gore, Fichtner worked for Ozark Aircraft Systems, LLC where, as Vice President, Engineering and Quality he led a start-up VVIP completion and MRO business to gross sales of over $100 million. Fichtner also has held leadership positions for Chrysler Technologies Airborne Systems and the Grumman Corporation.

Associated Air Center is a custom completion, refurbishment, modification upgrade and maintenance center for VVIP, part 135 or charter aircraft, and is a an Authorized Service Center for Airbus ACJs and Boeing BBJs. AAC provides program management and ODA certification within a state-of-the-art, vertically-integrated, advanced engineering facility providing comprehensive customer service, from start to finish.
