Airline of the Year, Air New Zealand, Selects StandardAero for Turboprop Engine MRO

Tempe, Ariz. – February 27, 2012 – StandardAero announced today that it has signed a service agreement with Air New Zealand for turboprop engine maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) work for all three of their regional airlines: Eagle Airways, Air Nelson and Mount Cook.

This agreement is an expansion and formalization of the services StandardAero has been providing for Air New Zealand carrier, Eagle Airways for the last several years. Today’s announcement expands that successful relationship to include the airline’s two other regional carriers – Air Nelson Ltd., which has already received several engine refurbishments under the program, and Mount Cook Airlines Ltd.

Service will be provided on all three regional operator’s fleets of turboprop aircraft. Eagle Airways operates a fleet of 18 Beech 1900D aircraft; Air Nelson operates a fleet of 23 Bombardier Q300 aircraft; and Mount Cook operates a fleet of 11 Avions de Transport Regional ATR72-500 aircraft. All work will be performed at StandardAero’s Winnipeg, Canada facility with support from its Service Centre in Sydney, Australia.
