Associated Air Center Receives Design Organization Approval (DOA) Renewal from United Arab Emirates (UAE) General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA)

Tempe, Ariz. – April 24, 2013 – Associated Air Center (AAC), StandardAero’s Large Transport Category VIP Completions Center in Dallas, Texas, announced that it has been issued a Design Organization Approval renewal certificate from the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). The certificate renewal shows that AAC is in compliance with all regulatory requirements for accomplishing and approving Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) modifications on UAE registered aircraft.

“This accomplishment reflects the continued expansion of our global footprint as a world class VVIP completions center,” said Chris Schechter, Vice President & General Manager, Associated Air Center. “By renewing our DOA Certificate, the GCAA is expressing their confidence in us to ensure the continued adherence to their design modification compliance standards.”

The significance of AAC’s renewed presence in the European, Asian and Middle-Eastern markets was reiterated by Patricio Altuna, Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing for AAC, who cited recent news involving multiple foreign repair station approvals. “The advocacy of AAC as a global provider of choice is being demonstrated throughout the global markets on an increasing basis as just last month we announced authorized repair station status among the civil aviation agencies of four governments in Africa, the Middle East and China,” Altuna concluded.

The UAE Design Organization Approval (DOA) approval will provide UAE registered aircraft access to AAC for providing UAE approved Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) modifications. All of the work will be accomplished at the AAC Love Field facility in Dallas, Texas.
