Tempe, Arizona, — Landmark Aviation announced today that it has delivered its second Dassault Falcon 50 avionics retrofit with TFE 731 engine conversion to VF Corporation.
“This airplane has been upgraded to offer a fully integrated avionics system – the Rockwell Collins ProLine 21, with electronic engine instruments and extended rudder travel,” said Gary Bosemer, Landmark Aviation Avionics Marketing Director. “The avionics equipment increases situational awareness and reduces pilot work load, offering full integration of electronic charts and maps.”
A TFE731 -40 engine conversion was also completed, increasing available thrust at high altitudes and on hot days, he added.
“The -40 conversion allows the aircraft to climb to a higher initial altitude with a reduced time to climb, which translates into better fuel efficiency and increased range,” Bosemer said. “In addition, the TFE731 design requires less frequent scheduled maintenance, which helps lower operating costs.”
Full exterior paint was completed while the aircraft was at Landmark’s Springfield, Ill., facility. A major interior refurbishment was completed and highlights the interior appointments.
Dave Newell, VF Corporation Director of Aviation & Travel, said, ”Over a period of several years Landmark Aviation and its predecessor companies have completed Falconjet retrofits and major maintenance and interior modification work for VF Corporation, and we continue to be very pleased with the results. We intend to continue working with Landmark and to benefit from outstanding aircraft services.”
Landmark Aviation operates major MRO centers at Springfield; Augusta, Ga.; Los Angeles; Little Rock, Ark.; and Houston. In addition, the company operates six MRO shops at FBO facilities in the U.S.
