Winnipeg, MB, May 24, 2006 – Standard Aero, an Authorized CF34™ Service Provider, licensed by GE Engine Services, Inc., announced the signing of an amendment to its exclusive TEAM™ contract with GoJet Airlines (“GoJet”) of St. Louis, Missouri. The amendment adds an additional 10 CF34–8 engines to the Standard Aero Total Engine Asset Management ( TEAM™ ) program, along with additional accessory repair and overhaul coverage. Standard Aero is now contracted to service all 30 of GoJet’s CF34–8 engines, plus spares, powering their fleet of CRJ-700 aircraft for United Express. This amendment is expected to add over $20 Million USD to the existing contract which has a term to December 31, 2019. “We are excited about the continued growth of our long-term CF34 engine program with GoJet”, commented Paul Soubry, President of Standard Aero’s Engine Services Division. He added, “We have a strong relationship with Trans States Holding, parent company of GoJet. Our relationship is built on trust, and an alignment of our objectives on the CF34 engine program and the many other services we provide Trans States Holding including AE3007, RE220 APU, and accessory maintenance.”
Standard Aero’s CF34 engine maintenance authorization was secured from General Electric in September of 2001 and a dedicated facility, complete with a new test cell was erected and certified by July 2002.
Al Blosse, Vice President of Maintenance for Trans States Holding, stated “the creative and unique approach to our CF34 Engine Program with Standard Aero provides the flexibility and comprehensive operational coverage we require as GoJet continues to grow its CRJ fleet.”
Trans States Holdings established GoJet Airlines in late 2004 as a United Express carrier. GoJet Airlines operates as United Express from Chicago O’Hare, Denver and Washington Dulles airports. The fleet consists of fifteen CRJ700 regional jets.
