NBAA, Orlando, — Landmark Aviation today announced that it has signed a five-year, $3.5 million contract with Bombardier Aerospace and CAE SimuFlite toward a training program for Landmark maintenance technicians and pilots, becoming the training organization’s largest single customer.
“Landmark Aviation is making a significant investment in a world-class technician and pilot training program,” said Shawn Vick, President, Landmark Aviation. “Based on customer recommendations, we’ve made a commitment to provide the most highly trained technicians and pilots in the industry, working with Bombardier and CAE SimuFlite.”
The agreement covers all levels of technical training for technicians, including Level 2 line and base maintenance training and Level 3 specialized training for FAA certifications, providing compliance with Part 145 regulatory training. The program includes courses for all business aircraft models and configurations, and an unlimited amount of simulation time for both technicians and pilots.
“This significant contract from Landmark Aviation reaffirms we are on the right track,” said Hank Blasiak, General Manager, Bombardier Training Centers. “Bombardier training programs are unique and we are the only aircraft manufacturer to offer product training to customers. We believe our training program offers added value and benefits because we work closely with all parties involved in the design, build, testing and support phases of our products, ensuring our course information is always current and up-to-the-minute.”
Bombardier Aerospace trained 6,000 pilots and technicians in 2005, and will train more than 7,000 this year at its Montreal and Dallas facilities, plus an additional 2,000 students are registered for Web-based training.
Training will take place on site at Landmark facilities, at Bombardier operations in Montreal, Quebec, and Dallas, Texas, and at CAE SimuFlite’s state-of-the-art facility at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

The Bombardier Aerospace and CAE SimuFlite training will comprise 90 percent of Landmark’s technical training for technicians and pilots.
