NBAA, Orlando, — Landmark Aviation, an integrated aircraft services provider with maintenance and repair centers and FBOs in the United States and Canada, today celebrated the 50,000th Dassault Falcon 50 service event at a Landmark MRO.
“Landmark Aviation is pleased to celebrate a milestone that demonstrates our commitment to Dassault service and Falcon Jet operators,” said Shawn Vick, Landmark President. “Along with VF Corp., whose aircraft is Number 50,000 in terms of Landmark Aviation and legacy Landmark service events, we celebrate the Falcon Jet and look forward to an enduring collaboration with Dassault and our customers.”
The aircraft, one of six Falcon Jets in the VF Corp. fleet, is undergoing an avionics retrofit, engine conversion, and interior woodwork and finishing at Landmark Aviation’s Springfield, Ill., MRO center. The aircraft is being retrofitted with a Collins Pro-Line 21 IDS avionics system — which will improve situational awareness for the pilot and enhance safety. The aircraft also will receive a –40 engine conversion to increase thrust and reduce fuel usage.
Dave Newell, VF Corp. Director of Aviation and Travel, said, “Landmark has completed five Falcon Jet retrofits for us as well as completed other major maintenance events on our aircraft over many years. Landmark has earned our business because the company delivers the top quality service we expect at the price points to which we agree. We appreciate the integrity of the Landmark employees with whom we work.”
