June 24, 2009 – Vector Aerospace Component Services Almondbank has been presented with a 2008 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognise suppliers who have achieved superior performance. The Almondbank operation maintained a Gold performance composite rating for each month of the 12-month period from October 1st 2007 to September 30th 2008. The award was presented at the Almondbank site on 11th June 2009 by Jim O’Neill, VP and GM of Boeing’s Integrated Logistics, Global Services and Support business.
Vector Aerospace Component Services Almondbank was one of only three suppliers outside the USA to receive Gold level recognition this year. In total, Boeing recognised 411 suppliers who achieved either a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence Award, with 86 Gold awards being made to businesses within Boeing’s overall supplier base of some 10,000 companies.

Vector Aerospace Component Services Almondbank provides flight safety critical dynamic and hydraulic component repair and overhaul services to Boeing in support of several major international Chinook users.
The company has nearly 70 years’ experience in aviation repair and overhaul for helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. The facility supports the UK Ministry of Defence’s Chinook, Lynx and Sea King helicopter fleets, carrying out repair and overhaul on dynamic and hydraulic components, together with the refurbishment and modification of complex structural components.
