September 8, 2008 – Vector Aerospace has appointed Tim Rice as Managing Director of Vector Aerospace, UK.
Tim joins Vector from Messier-Dowty, part of the Safran Group, where he was Managing Director Messier Services and Group Vice President, Airbus and European Programmes Business Unit. This covers Vector Aerospace Engine Services UK Limited (formerly Sigma Aerospace), Vector Aerospace Component Services Almondbank and Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services Fleetlands.
The appointment is part of Vector Aerospace’s strategy to strengthen the company’s management structure within the UK since acquiring the former MoD’s DARA businesses at Fleetlands and Almondbank.
Declan O’Shea, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vector Aerospace, said: ‘We’re delighted that Tim has chosen to join Vector Aerospace at this important time in our development. Significantly for us, Tim was not actually looking to make a career change but became interested in Vector’s growth mandate as well as having the opportunity to lead a team of people who are interested in making a real difference in the industry.’
Declan O’Shea remains as Acting Managing Director for Vector in the UK until Tim takes up his position on October 20. Tim will be based at Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services Fleetlands, which is located in Gosport, Hampshire, United Kingdom.
