Pratt & Whitney F135

The Netherlands Ministry of Defense has selected StandardAero as its F135 depot and test cell service provider. The location for maintenance of the F135 is a brand-new, state-of-the-art Government Owned and Contractor Operated facility at the Logistics Center Woensdrecht in Hoogerheide, The Netherlands. F135 maintenance activities will be performed in a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between StandardAero and the Royal Netherlands Air Force. StandardAero will be an integral part of regional MRO&U sustainment support for the F135 engine for the RNLAF and other international operators.

StandardAero is pleased to be selected as an F135 Product Support Provider (PSP) offering world-class Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul and Upgrade (MRO&U) services for Pratt & Whitney F135 engines. The F135 engine powers the F-35 Lightning II operated by the United States, eight international partners including The Netherlands, and four countries through Foreign Military Sales. Initial F135 capabilities include depot-level Fan Module (starting May 2020) and Power Module (starting August 2020) MRO for the F135 CTOL and STOVL variants, with additional capabilities planned during transition to Full Depot Capability. The new facility includes dedicated full engine test capability to support the growing F-35 fleet operation. F135 repair work is planned to be performed in the existing F100 repair facilities prior to expansion and growth in the new F135 facility.
