Marc McGowan serves as President, Business Aviation. McGowan is responsible for leading the achievement of performance objectives, customer satisfaction and business development activities of the Business Aviation Sector, which is dedicated to the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of non-commercial, business aviation aircraft. McGowan reports directly to the CEO of StandardAero and is a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team.

Prior to his role as President, Business Aviation, McGowan served as Vice President Strategy, Business Development and Product Management for Business Aviation, responsible for all aspects of strategy development and execution as well as product management.

Prior to joining StandardAero, McGowan served in several key leadership roles with Honeywell Aerospace. Among these was Vice President, International Defense and Space, headquartered in Rolle, Switzerland, Vice President, Airlines-Americas, Vice President, Aircraft Platform Solutions for Engines, Systems and Accessories, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Aviation Aftermarket Services and Vice President of Sales and Support for Business, Regional and General Aviation. He retired from Honeywell after nearly 20 years of service in 2011.

In addition to his civilian career, McGowan served 29 years in the U.S. Navy as a commissioned Naval Flight Officer and Naval Reserve Officer. He accumulated over 2,500 flight hours in five aircraft types and 300 carrier-arrested landings. He has served as the Commanding Officer of two Reserve Augment Units, and retired at the rank of Captain.

McGowan holds a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach and a Master of Business Administration from Oregon State University.
